Manage-v4-9-Release-Notes
Article Details
Manage Software is continually improved to add and enhance product features. Generally, users can upgrade any Manage version from the earlier release to the new one. The version numbering indicates the software version throughout its lifecycle.
NOTE: Sometimes, there may be a gap in the release number if the next one is a major release.

Enlighted recommends installing the latest version to take advantage of the latest features. Please submit a ticket to Enlighted Support   for any Manage-related software upgrade.

The Release Notes briefly describe all new features and enhancements included in each release.

New Features and Enhancements

In Manage v4.9,

Impactful Fixes

  • Previously, the download of the System Health Report  failed due to null values for the devices. This issue is fixed. Users can now download the report without any problems.
  • Fixed the issue in the New User Experience that prevented users from deleting ERC from a Switch Group in the Edit option.
  • When a Switch Group is created for a fixture that has the "Tunable White" check box enabled in the Fixture Details screen and the fixture has missing the Fixture Manufacturer Table (FMT) information, the ERC does not respond to that fixture. This issue has been resolved by making the FMT available in the firmware even if FMT is deleted. (Supported from SU-5E V5.16.1)
  • The legend in the new UI does not display the ERC Battery Level.  This has been fixed, as anyone trying to filter by ERC Battery Level and click on the legend will see all the respective icons representing the ERC states.
  • When changing a device's Gateway  on the floor plan tab, View > Network from the dropdown list, the Gateway change dialogue box did not display the "Current Assigned Gateways" for the device. This has been resolved.
  • Fixed the inconsistency between API data responses for different user roles. Also, fixed the issue with API key stability; so, it is not deleted.
  • If you perform an RMA on a gateway, the fixtures that were associated with the old gateway will now be associated with the new gateway without losing data or connectivity.
  • The formatting of MAC addresses is now consistent when using Get all Bluetooth Fixtures by Floor  API.
  • Problem after zoom-in/zoom-out on Floor plan page is now resolved.
Known High Priority Limitations
  • When you create a Switch Group across gateways, the devices will take about five minutes to sync with the new Switch Group changes.
  • Email notifications are not working because Microsoft no longer supports SMTP on its email exchange servers. Users who use Microsoft servers will be impacted.
  • The third button on the ERC Switch dedicated for rotating scenes cannot be mapped to other buttons on the ERC when it is set as Any Button Any Function . This will be fixed in the new ERC hardware model, so that the third button will be able to function flexibly.
  • When you take a database backup from Manage 4.3 and above sites that are connected to e-cloud and try to restore in the same version, devices are shown as offline on the Floor Plan until you manually trigger Fixture status by hovering over the sensor icon.
  • The Gateway firmware version does not update in the firmware status screen even when an upgrade is successful, but you can see that the firmware version is updated in the Device Details screen.
  • The download (Save PDF) Floor plan feature occasionally fails. We recommend keeping the original floor plan file for any re-uploading operations. If you are having trouble downloading a floor plan, you can take a screenshot of it directly from your browser.
  • Daylight groups  cannot be created from the floorplan context menu, if a fixtureless sensor is in the current selection.
  • In the new UI:
  • ‘Occupancy heatmap’ view on the Floor Plan page is not displayed.
  • If a Change gateway operation is performed, it may lead to sensors not responding to all ERC commands.
  • When you change the Network settings  for Gateways or BACnet multiple times in quick succession within a span of 2-3 minutes, the on-prem Manage restarts. When it comes back up, its IP address is changed. The IP address changes to a random value or one of the older configured values.
  • When creating or editing a Switch Group while sensors are already in BLE Beacon mode, the sensors go back to Scan mode.
  • When you select devices in the manual firmware upgrade table, the screen will go back to the top of the table after making a selection.
  • Context menu is not displayed when you right-click on the floorplan if drag/drop is unlocked.
  • Rediscovering deleted Gateways can take up to one hour.
  • When BACnet is deployed with an EMC, renaming parts of the facility tree (areas, buildings, campus) may render points associated with the renamed assets undiscoverable by the Building Management system (BMS).
  • The application slows down or occasionally freezes when lots of devices are added to the Firmware upgrade table; we recommend devices are upgraded in small batches of up to 100 devices.
