For Partners & Customers.
Introduction
Firmware 4.0 and 4.1 were released in limited availability.
- Changes from 2.7 to 4.0: Added features to support Enlighted One and support Connected Lighting (CL) systems.
- Changes from 4.0 to 4.1: Added additional features for Enlighted One. This firmware version also supports Connected Lighting (CL) systems.
- Changes from 4.1 to 4.2.0: Added support for ALPUS (Adjust Lighting Profiles for non-commissioned sensors). For details, refer to the ALPUS - Adjust Lighting Profiles of Un-commissioned Sensors. This firmware version also supports Connected Lighting (CL) systems.
Firmware 4.2.0 Compatibility
- ERC FW v4.2.0 for systems that are currently using ERC v2.7.x
- ERC FW v4.2.0 for systems, such as Enlighted One, that are currently using ERC v4.1.10
- The ALPUS feature introduced in v4.2.0 is only for Gen 5 Sensor Firmware release v5.9.4 and later versions.
Caution
The ERC 4.2 release is not upgradable for legacy ERCs (2.x) due to bootloader restrictions, which were factory-programmed with ERC bootloader v2.1. If you or your customer requires Enlighted One or future ERC firmware, we recommend acquiring a newer switch. The same goes with a downgrade, do not attempt to downgrade a factory build v4.x ERC with a v2.7.x image.
There is generally no reason to upgrade 2.7.x to 4.2 in deployed systems. You can have ERC with versions 2.x, 2.7.x, 4.2 running on a single site.
