Gateway v3.6.0 release notes:

Upgrade Path

Enhancements

The Enlighted Gateway 3.6 release provides the following new features:

  1. Cross Gateways Switch Groups
  2. 802.1x Certificate Update Ability
  3. Enlighted Edge Gateway Support
  4. Ability to Disable Port 8085 for Manage in Cloud Deployments
  5. Improved Accuracy in RF Radio Center Frequency
  6. IPV6 Networking Support

Features

Cross Gateways Switch Groups

  • Individual Switch and Motion groups on a single Gateway can belong to Switch or Motions Groups across Gateways in Edge. Edge will listen to the Gateway traffic for local Switch or Motion commands and broadcast those commands to Switch and Motion Group sensors on other Gateways. Users can create Cross-Gateway Switch Groups (Single Floor) and Cross-Gateway Motion Groups (Single Floor) in Manage v4.9 and above. The Switch or Motion identifiers and the Gateway MAC ID associated would be expressed to Edge from Manage as a look-up table.

  • Gateways will be able to see sensor-to-sensor motion radio traffic.

  • The X300 device and Edge Software must be installed and available in the Enlighted lighting network.

802.1x Certificate Update Ability

The 802.1x certificate is required for authentication to the Gateway. v3.6.0 adds the ability for Manage to update this certificate.

Enlighted Edge Gateway Support

The Enlighted Edge provides low-latency (real-time) lighting control interfacing with third-party systems such as BACnet/IP for BMS integrations.  It will also enhance lighting control through Cross Gateway Switch and Motion groups to communicate across Gateways.

Ability to Disable Port 8085 for Manage in Cloud (EMC) Deployments

On startup, the Gateway will listen on Port 8085 to connect to on-premise Manage devices before connecting to Enlighted Manage in the Cloud (EMC). With this release, the Gateway will not listen to Port 8085 for connecting to on-premise Manage devices.

Improved Accuracy in RF Radio Center Frequency

This release offers an improved and accurate RF Radio center frequency.

IPv6 Networking Support

Version 3.4.0 and later of the Enlighted Gateway now supports connecting to Manage in the Cloud using IPv6.  This feature can be enabled using the Custom Network Configuration feature.

Important Note: For 3.6 firmware, if you enable IPv6, please change the "Amaze API Server" and "Amaze Device Server" to v6-device.enlightedinc.com.

Internal Enlighted users: If using Beta3, set the fields to vy-b-device.enlightedinc.com (not a link).
