Manage Software is continually improved to add and enhance product features. Generally, users can upgrade any Manage version from the earlier release to the new one. The version numbering indicates the software version throughout its lifecycle. NOTE: Sometimes, there may be a gap in the release number if the next one is a major release.
Enlighted recommends installing the latest version to take advantage of the latest features. Please submit a ticket to Enlighted Support for any Manage-related software upgrade and refer to Upgrade Manage Software for details before upgrading the system to a newer version.

Renaming a Switch Group in the New UI does not work when an ERC is associated with it. Users must rename the Switch Group in the Classic UI by using the toggle button in the Main Menu bar to switch to the Classic UI.
Discovered devices are displayed as commissioned devices in the floorplan under the Groups tab. Users can verify in the Classic UI and remove discovered devices by editing the group.
Users cannot add sensors to the Daylight Group when editing them in the New UI. Users can edit and add devices in the Classic UI.
When creating a Daylight Group in the New UI, a Master sensor is automatically assigned to a sensor among the list of sensors. When the user changes the Master Sensor before saving the group, the Daylight Group shows that this group has two Master Sensors. Users can still edit the group, change the Master Sensor, and save to show a single Master Sensor. Users can edit the Master Sensor using the Classic UI.
The Energy Consumption graph in the New UI does not automatically load the most recent data when the user is viewing the Live status by selecting "Today" as the time period. Users can see the same by switching to the Classic UI and switching back to the New UI from the Classic UI, or by changing the time period manually in the New UI.

EnOcean switches can now be used to control Enlighted sensors with the same functionality provided by Enlighted ERCs. The setup and configuration of these devices is fast and easy.
Save time when logging into your EMC and improve overall security by enabling Single-Sign-On (SSO) on EMCs. SSO enables users to log in using their company-assigned federated login and allows the customer’s IT department to configure password rules for their employees to meet their security needs.

Energy Manager releases prior to Manage 4.0 utilized Flash components in the application UI. All major internet browsers will stop supporting flash on January 1st, 2021; Enlighted strongly recommends that all customers upgrade their system to Manage 4.0 before the end of 2020. This release only supports the Ubuntu 18.04 operating system when deployed on the Enlighted Cloud; a future release will support the OS upgrade process for on-premise systems.
EM 3.9.14 - Released for Limited Availability on 7/6/2020
New Features
Customers will be able to perform a one-time upgrade of the Energy Manager OS (Ubuntu 14.04 to 18.04) and other infrastructural components to meet customer performance and security requirements. Refer to the article Energy Manager Operating System (OS) Upgrade.
Enhancements
Desk sensors (Surface Sensor, USB, SU-5i) no longer need to be placed in an area with ‘zone sensor-enabled to get real-time occupancy state via the Desk Occupancy API. This API can be viewed only if you are a registered partner or customer with us.
In-app help files have been updated to reflect the current Energy Manager version.
API access is now more intuitively linked to user roles and privileges.

Known Issues
The OS upgrade process fails on Energy Managers not connected to the internet; this will be addressed later. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO UPGRADE THE OS OF AN ENERGY MANAGER NOT CONNECTED TO THE INTERNET.
Energy Managers running version 3.9.12.10079 (OS upgraded to Ubuntu 18.x) will need to be manually upgraded by Enlighted support; please contact Enlighted Support for a 3.9.14 upgrade.
Energy Managers running on a new mid-range Lanner box may swap the ethernet port assignments on the box following the upgrade, causing gateway and network connection issues.
The OS upgrade feature is not compatible with Energy Managers in the Cloud. This will be addressed in a subsequent release.
Energy Managers running on an MSI box cannot be upgraded to 3.9.14; if a customer wants to upgrade their MSI system, please contact Enlighted Support .
Switch groups cannot be created with Surface Sensor, USB, (SU-5i) sensors.

New Features
Get Real-time Desk Occupancy for a Floor: Limited availability release of the Desk Occupancy API allowing select partners to get real-time occupancy status of sensors with their fixture type set as ‘Desk Sensor’ via a RESTful API. This API will be generally available in the 3.10 release. The Real-Time Desk Occupancy API requires that the customer purchase additional software licenses to be enabled.
User Authentication for APIs: API access is now linked to user roles and access within the Energy Manager. The functionality provided by the API will mirror user permissions in the EM.
Location Accuracy and Fixture Installation Type: The following sensor parameters useful to the Where application can now be entered in the Fixture Detail page: sensor installation type and fixture offset height. The following floor parameters useful to the Where application can now be entered in the Floor Settings: Ceiling Height and Floor Elevation. These are used to improve the accuracy when determining the location of an Enlighted BLE tag by Where.
Bluetooth Tag Settings: The sensor reporting interval for the BLE tag button press and battery status events can now be configured on the floor/building settings page(s).
Daylight Harvesting Option in the ‘Advanced Lighting Profile’ window enabled to change daylight harvesting operation to improve energy savings. Normal operation is that lights in an area go to the max level when space becomes occupied and dim to meet the daylight threshold level. If the ‘When motion is detected, ramp up to the target ambient light level over 3 seconds’ option is selected, the lights will ramp as described to meet the threshold level. If the ambient light level exceeds the threshold level, the lights will remain off.

Auto retrieves lighting color from a DALI type 8 driver, requires a sensor with firmware version 5.5 or higher.

Improved audit log entries for Demand Response events to include the creation and update of Demand Response overrides. The log will also include a start time for any deleted, created, or edited DR event (excludes ADR events).

In some cases, when a gateway became disabled or disconnected, the Energy Manager database would become deadlocked when it attempted to reestablish a connection with the gateway. Limits have been placed on the rate at which the EM will attempt to reconnect with the gateway remediating this issue.

Automatic Recovery of Sensors: The EM will now attempt to automatically recommission sensors that have been nonresponsive for at least 12 hours. This process will run daily. This feature can be disabled by the user if desired. This process can be disruptive to overall system operation, so it is possible to schedule; by default, the process runs at 2 am. All parameters can be changed via the System Management GUI.

New Features
Viewing the Gateway associated with Sensors or Devices: When in the floorplan view, devices will now be colored according to the group to which they belong. The device not in a group will be displayed in grey. If a user filters the view to a single group, then devices belonging to multiple groups, including the filtered group, will be displayed with the color of one of the other groups to which they belong.
Tunable White: Users can now control the color temperature of tunable white fixtures with scenes, profiles, and manual overrides from the EM. This includes support for circadian rhythm control based on an astrological clock. The sensor will retrieve the fixture manufacturer table (FMT) from the driver and update the EM accordingly based on the tunable range. The sensor will perform some basic logic tests on the FMT to ensure fields are populated in a way that makes sense.

Occupancy Heatmap: The occupancy heatmap will now load more quickly and will display the last hour of data by default
Previously users could only create 255 profiles per Energy Manager; users can now create up to 255 profiles per facility. Profiles assigned to fixtures in a given facility will be automatically assigned to that facility when the Energy Manager is upgraded to 3.9.7.
Users will no longer be able to move devices while editing groups to accelerate system commissioning.
BACnet service automatically restarts after a device is added to an area, a sensor is removed from an area, or an area is deleted. This is to ensure the Energy Manager and BACnet domain model stays synchronized.
A more helpful error message will be displayed when a user enters an incorrect login.

Users can no longer modify the NTP server setting on an EMC. Restricting this modification increases the ability to meet Service Level Agreements.
Impactful Fixes
In some cases, the Energy Manager would automatically enable sensors as hoppers to increase wireless network traffic. This issue has been remediated.
When there is a sensor communication error, the EM would previously display inaccurate light level and power values; now, a value of ‘N/A’ will be displayed when the user hovers over the sensor in the floorplan view.

Impactful Fixes
Rarely, removing a hopper did not result in the hopper being removed. This issue is resolved.
On an individual fixture’s profile tab, pressing the “Push Profile” did not always result in a successful push of the profile to the sensor. This issue is resolved, and a success message is shown. Note that changes to light levels may occur gradually over 30 to 60 seconds, such that it may not be visibly noticeable that the profile changed.
If a sensor does not get the original message to be added to a daylight group, the sensor will sync and join the group later.
On an EM with many profiles, it takes much less time to save a profile.
The advanced option's envelope behavior settings are removed as this feature is not supported by sensor firmware.
