Energy Consumption displays energy savings and energy usage for the day. Energy savings are equal to the difference between the baseline energy consumption and actual energy consumption. The baseline energy consumption can either be determined at the fixture level using the Fixture-Level Energy Savings method or at the floor, building, campus, organization level using the Contractual Baseline Energy Savings method.
To view energy savings, select a facility in the left panel and click the Energy Consumption tab. By default, the dashboard shows data for the day for the organization, building, or floor. To change the duration period, select a specific date range from the calendar on the dashboard's top-right corner or quickly customize to show weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly, or custom time intervals for all fixtures or plugloads. You can monitor and measure the usage in USD, kWh, or C02Â emissions.
The total building energy savings is displayed under three categories: Task Tuning, Daylight Harvesting, and Occupancy. The panel displays a summary of
- Period Savings - Total amount saved by all the fixtures in this space during the selected time period through the combination of Task-Tune Savings, Occupancy Savings, and Daylight Harvesting Savings. See savings calculations (PDF) .
- Period Consumption - The total amount of energy consumed by all fixtures in this space during the selected time period.
- Period Peak Load - The actual average rate of energy consumption over the last 5-minute interval.
- Current Load - The actual peak 5-minute average rate of energy consumption over the selected period.
- Current Baseline - The estimated average energy consumption rate over the last 5-minute interval, based on fixture baseline load configurations.
The Period Energy graph shows the savings realized across all savings categories (i.e., Task-Tune Savings, Occupancy Savings, Daylight Harvesting Savings) against the cost to power all the fixtures in this space throughout the selected time period. The following figure shows the display for all fixtures on a floor for a day based on the Fixture-based energy savings method.

The energy savings are divided into the following four categories.
- Task Tuning Savings - Savings realized by reducing energy consumption in a space due to manual overrides and applying task-specific lighting profiles to fixtures, providing just enough light levels for occupants to perform their daily tasks.
- Occupancy Savings - Savings realized by reducing energy consumption due to lights and outlets being switched off when the space is vacant. Lights are turned on only when occupancy is detected.
- Daylight Harvesting Savings - Savings realized by reducing energy consumption in a space through lights being dimmed when there is enough available natural light. As daylight levels increase, light levels automatically decrease to save energy.
- Consumption (red) - Represents the current energy being used.
Hovering the cursor over the graph shows the savings realized across all savings categories against the cost to power all the fixtures in this space by the hour. You can save the Energy Consumption details to a PDF or export to a CSV file.
- Go to Facilities > Energy Consumption.
- Click Export to export the details to an Excel file format (CSV) and select the location to save the file.
