Users can easily and quickly set up their Enlighted lighting system using the Groups feature. This feature allows them to program different types of groups, including Switch Groups, Motion Groups, Daylight Groups, and Cross-Gateway Groups.
- Switch Group: A Switch Group controls a group of sensors that can turn the lights on or off using a switch. Devices in this group include Sensors, Plugload Controllers (PLCs), and Switches.
- Motion Group: A Motion Group is configured when sensors in a room are set up to detect occupancy. When someone enters the room, the occupancy detection is communicated to all fixtures, which will then adjust their light levels according to their profiles.
- Daylight Group: A Daylight Group is used to provide a consistent dim level across a group of fixtures for improved aesthetics. The lights in this group are dimmed or brightened in response to daylight fluctuations, aiming to achieve a uniform group light level. This group includes only sensors. Read the Recommended Preliminary Steps for Creating a Daylight Group for additional information.
- Cross-Gateway Groups: When an Enlighted Edge device is enabled and identified in Manage, it enables Cross-Gateway Groups. With Cross-Gateway Groups, an Edge device can listen to Gateway traffic from Cross-Gateway Switch and Motion groups on a single floor. It then broadcasts these commands to sensors on the same floor, allowing for cross-gateway communication.
When a user selects devices to create a Group, the Manage app will automatically include or exclude devices based on the Group Type. For example, if you are creating a Switch Group, Switches will be added to the group, but they will be excluded from a Motion Group.
Things To Know:
- Color Coding for Groups - With this color-coding enhancement, users will have the ability to view the colors of only one group category while the other two group view is disabled.
- Optimized Zoon Functionality - Automatic Zoom in functionality is disabled. With this enhancement, users will be able to manually zoom in and out of the floorplan. However, the floorplan will automatically zoom out while switching between different groups Views and while clearing the gateway filter in the floorplan tab.
