The Enlighted Edge Gateway consists of the Enlighted Edge Software hosted on the Siemens connect X300 Applicance. This article provides detailed release notes for Enlighted Edge software release v1.2, intended for Enlighted’s partners and customers.
Overview
The Enlighted Edge software v1.2 will support the following:

Enlighted Manage v4.7 supports Enlighted Edge BACnet stack (refer to Enlighted Edge BACnet Specification) and BMS integration.

Cross-Gateway communication by Manage v4.9 and above (refer to Enable Cross-Gateways in Manage).

Edge software v1.2 for on-premises Manage and Manage in the Cloud (EMC) installations (refer to Manage (EM-x-xx), EEM, EMC).

Support for only Gen 5 sensors, 8 pin, and 2 wire (SU-5E, SU-5S) (refer to Sensor Spec Sheets)
New Features
- BACnet/IP integrations, such as Desigo
- State lighting control objects are provided with no additional charge for Design integrations.
- BACnet Perpetual license fees apply.
- Third-party BMS integrations
- State lighting control objects are provided with no additional charge for third-party integrations.
- Data objects will be subject to ARR (Annual Recurring Revenue) charges for third-party integrations.
- DTDL Agent
- Converts Enlighted telemetry data from desk and ceiling sensors into DTDL-formatted status and telemetry messages.
- Messages are forwarded through the Event Hub connection to Microsoft Azure Events Hub.
- Cross-Gateway Switch Groups (Single Floor) and Cross-Gateway Motion Groups (Single Floor) in Manage v4.9 and above.
- Cross Gateway communication allows users to create large Switch and Motion Super Groups that operate across multiple Gateways.
