Energy Consumption displays energy savings and energy usage for an organization. Energy savings are equal to the difference between the baseline energy consumption and actual energy consumption. The baseline energy consumption can either be determined at the fixture level using the Fixture-Level Energy Savings method or at the floor, building, campus, organization level using the Contractual Baseline Energy Savings method.
Setting Contractual Baseline Energy Savings
If the energy baseline is stipulated in the customer’s sales contract, use the contractual baseline energy savings method to determine savings.
It is recommended to set the baseline for each level in the organization, such as campus, building, and floor level. If the baseline savings are set for a facility or campus, the savings will be shown only for the facility or campus and the breakdown by buildings, floors, or fixtures will not be displayed.
When the Contractual Baseline Energy Savings is set for a building, all buildings on the campus will inherit the value. It cannot be altered at facility levels above or below. If you want to change the facility level at which the baseline savings is calculated, uncheck the Energy Savings Calculation Method for the facility, save, and then set it at another facility level. The Baseline savings stipulated will then be used to calculate savings.
The system or facility admin may set contractual energy savings. To set contractual energy savings for a facility,
- Select a facility in the left-panel facility tree.
- Navigate to the Settings tab.
- Check the option Contractual Baseline Energy Savings.
- Enter a kWh value in the contract for the building in the Annual Baseline Energy Consumption field.
- Click Save to save the information.

To view the current baseline for a building, select a building in the left Facilities panel, and click the Energy Consumption tab to view savings.
