The Switch Type controls the behavior of the fixtures. Enlighted supports the following Switch types to suit different lighting purposes.

1. Auto-on/Auto-off (Default)

Fixtures behave as if a Switch does not control them. When the sensors detect motion, the fixtures turn the lights to the maximum light level specified in the lighting profile. This switch type is ideal for areas with a minimum number of people moving around. The sensors will automatically detect movement inside the building and turn on/off the lights as per the light levels fixed by the user. For instance, users can assign these switch types to conference rooms and working environments.

2. Manual-on/Auto-off

Allows users to manually turn the lights on in a room or area with an ERC switch. However, the lights automatically turn off when the sensors detect no occupancy. This feature ensures energy efficiency and reduces unnecessary power consumption.

For safety concerns, in rooms with very low or no natural light, this Switch Type allows users to turn fixtures on when the light is low.

3. Manual on/Manual off

Allows users to manually turn the lights on or off in a room or open areas with the ERC/EnOcean Switch. When the switch is turned 'ON', the lights will turn on at the maximum light level according to the profile settings. No other event, such as occupancy or timeout, can override or turn off the lights until the switch is manually turned off with an ERC/EnOcean.

Users working in enclosed spaces such as an electrical/mechanical room performing maintenance Have the ability to turn the lights on or off as needed for safety reasons. The lights are not affected by the profile settings to changes based on occupancy or time of the day.

4. Logical on

This Switch Type allows users to override & control the fixtures through multiple input sources:

  • Contact Closure inputs: The Contact Closure device accepts four input control with six different actions. It also receives signal form Third-party ambient light detectors.
    • Third Party ambient light detector: Astroclock settings to control fixtures can be overridden with signals from the Third-party detectors. Signals from these detectors will be sent to Contact Closure device which are then forwarded to the Edge device.
  • Astro clock: The Astro clock in Plugload Profile Templates allows users to take advantage of daylight hours before and after Sunrise or Sunset to turn on/ off plugloads.

With Logical on Switch Type, users can easily control exterior lighting through Enlighted plugload Without having to manually intervene, even in unsupported climatic conditions like gloomy days.

5. Maintenance

When this mode is enabled, Users can manually turn on and turn off the fixtures for a specific duration. For instance, if the user sets the duration to 5 minutes the lights will be tuned on for 5 minutes with manual override mode and then return to their previous light profile settings with Auto Mode after the duration expires.
