Overview
Enlighted offers the following two external DALI Bus Power Supply (DALI PSU) units:
- Nipple Mount DALI Power Supply Unit (DALI PSU-6): Mounts to a junction box of an electrical wiring system. Refer to the Nipple Mount (DALI PSU-6) - Install Guide.
- Surface Mount DALI Power Supply Unit (DALI PSU-4): Mounts to a flat surface inside fixtures or outside a fixture as an independently operated electrical device.
This document describes installing the Surface Mounted DALI PSU.
DALI Bus Power Supply (DALI PSU-4)
Enlighted offers the following two external DALI Bus Power Supply (DALI PSU) units. This document describes installing the Surface Mounted DALI PSU.
- Surface Mount DALI Power Supply Unit (DALI PSU-4): Mounts to a flat surface inside fixtures or outside a fixture as an independently operated electrical device.
- Nipple Mount DALI Power Supply Unit (DALI PSU-6): Mounts to a junction box of an electrical wiring system. Refer to the DALI PSU-6 Install Guide.

Caution
A qualified electrician must perform installation and maintenance under local, state, and national electrical codes (NEC) and requirements.
Procedure:
Step 1: Switch off the circuit breaker supplying power to the light fixture.
Step 2: Open the fixture cover and remove the cover for the ballast cavity. The ballast and its wiring should now be visible.
Step 3: Utilizing a voltmeter, verify that power is off to the ballast. If power is present, stop work, identify and switch off the circuit breaker.
Step 4: Place the DALI PSU-4 (PSU) in the desired location either inside the fixture enclosure or external to the fixture and secure it with the mounting screws.
Step 5: Connect the power input “Hot” wire (Line) to the AC-L (Line In) wire trap terminal on the PSU.
Step 6: Connect the power input “Neutral” wire to the AC-N (Neutral) wire trap terminal on the PSU.
Step 7: Connect the DA+ terminal from the PSU to the DA+ terminal on the DALI driver.
Step 8: Connect the DA- terminal from the PSU to the DA- terminal on the DALI driver.
When there are multiple drivers, the DALI ports can be connected to the PSU DA+, DA- and be powered by the PSU.
Wiring Diagram
The Enlighted sensor can be connected to the DALI bus and be powered by the PSU. Refer to the wiring diagram.
