Space 3.0 Release Notes

Features (Enhancements)

Utilization Snapshot Email

Allows Space users to define different utilization thresholds for given spaces and to receive utilization snapshots when these areas are over or under the defined thresholds (e.g., below 20% or above 80%). This is a step in the direction of surfacing actionable data to Space users, helping to reallocate under-utilized space or cut operation costs.

Alerts can be configured for select spaces with custom utilization thresholds and specific days and times to be monitored and notified about. Learn more in this article: Email Alerts.

New Design

In addition to a new feature, Space has a new look and feel. The new designs include current Enlighted branding and color palette. The design framework utilizes new components to simplify use and navigation. This is the foundation for new workflows to streamline tasks and surface value faster for users.

NOTE: Only the Landing Page and Utilization Dashboard will have new designs implemented by the August 16 launch. Visualizations, Reports, and Admin functions will have new designs implemented in the following sprints/releases.

SSO

Space will now support SAML and Azure Active Directory (AAD) to onboard customer Identity Providers in addition to Auth0 authentication. SSO is a baseline requirement of enterprise software, and the addition of SAML rounds out our offering and brings us closer to standardizing across our application stack.   • New design and user interface elements built in React (our current frontend framework has been deprecated)

Space application and Tableau Integration

Using Tableau, customers can access the aggregated occupancy and utilization data available in the Space app. To access the facilities data in the Space application in the Tableau app, Enlighted has built a web connector. Learn how to Connect to the Data Source from Tableau.

Space 2.5.2 Release Notes

Audience

The purpose of this article is to provide detailed release notes for Space software releases starting at 2.5.2. This document is intended for Enlighted’s partners and customers.

Space 2.5.2 - Released for General Availability on 7/29/2022

New Features

Single Sign-on (SSO) with Auth0 authentication enables users to use their SSO credentials to log in to the Space App, thereby providing easy access. Users can have one login for multiple applications, including the  Space App. Single-Sign-On (SSO) with Auth0 is only available when the organization domain is registered in the Space application back end. To enable or disable SSO with Auth0, please have your System Administrator contact Enlighted Support. The user must also be added as an SSO user in the App. Refer to the article Creating a New SSO User.

Impactful Fixes

Session Timeout: Users are automatically logged out after thirty minutes of inactivity and redirected to the login page.

Security, Stability Improvement, and Bug fixes: Fixed a few security vulnerabilities, validated API authorization tokens before displaying data, and resolved building data issues in the Dashboard.
