Sweep Timer Savings

Note: The virtual sweep timer is a custom feature that is not available by default in Manage. This is an Admin enabled function; either contact your facility administrator or Enlighted Support to enable the Sweep Timer function.

For buildings that already have installed basic measures to curb lighting energy loads, such as sweep timers, the Enlighted system goes beyond the basic measures to capture deeper lighting energy savings.

The Enlighted sweep timer instance can be scheduled in areas where automatic controls are already in place. The savings from the system are not calculated during these periods unless occupancy is detected. These periodic, programmed, sequential sweeps ensure that fixtures are turned off as soon as activity in an area diminishes. When there is occupancy during these periodic programmed sweep timings, Manage will start taking energy credit for realized energy savings by deploying occupancy sensing, daylight harvesting, and task tuning functions.

Refer to the following tasks:

Creating a New Sweep Instance

To create a new sweep instance, do the following:

  1. Navigate to Administration > Sweep Timer.

  • Start/End Time – Up to three start and end times (on/off events per day) can be configured per day. Use the 24-hour clock for filling the time slots. Note that 22:00 to 4:00 means 10 pm of a day and 4 am the next day.
  • Override – The override time beyond the last motion time detected. Indicate time in 30-minute increments up to a maximum of 120 minutes. Energy credits are calculated from the time of the last motion detected to the override time beyond it.
